Brian works on the technical half of the network: playable boards, puzzle generators, solvers, hint systems, printable output, responsive layouts, and the code that keeps a puzzle page working properly on whatever device it opens on.
Karan works on the half that decides whether any of that is actually enjoyable: puzzle ideas, difficulty, instructions, wording, testing, and the honest question of whether a new player would understand what to do without being told twice.
Most puzzles in the portfolio pass through both. A puzzle that is technically correct but confusing to play does not ship, and neither does a good idea that the code cannot generate fairly.
Brian's tool making also extends beyond puzzles. His engineering background and experience building mathematical software models inform the company's practical calculator sites, a separate area of work serving people with everyday calculations.
